Gardner’s Syndrome



This rare entity resembles familial polyposis of the colon with certain other associated features, especially osteomas and benign soft-tissue tumors (see Fig. 41-3 for illustration of the complete syn­drome). The stomach and small bowel (especially the duodenum) may also be involved. Because of the malignant potential of the colonic polyps, total colectomy is indicated.
